When I read or listen to your work I always find myself asking, where does objective reality begin and subjective reality stop. It's similar to having a belief in God. We cannot prove his/her existence nor can we disprove it. The question boils down to what can be gained, or lost, by such beliefs; this brings us back to our subjective self/selves where all of our reality "lies", subjective and arguably objective. I do have to think that there is an objective reality that we agree upon where we can find common ground with others who come from a different perspective. And so, I try to write in a non-partisan fashion in an effort to positively influence others who are open to a more malleable approach to reality. I like to read writers whose ideas force me to think in new an expanded ways. Often, I wonder if I am missing their point and maybe even not understanding what I have read at all. I am always waiting for the "pink" elephant to appear.

While I do not believe in the concept of objective reality as accurate I do acknowledge its fundamental importance as a tool of things we take from the community as real. This is a kind of socialism that is necessary if we want everyone to share the same archetypal language (ie fashion). So it is a petrified hallucination that is very difficult to break and there are consequences for vandalizing what everyone has worked so hard to hallucinate

The real elephant in the room is that most people don't like to think. They live life on automatic, pretending that nobody will pull the rug out from under them.
